Last night my daughter played in the county vollyball tournament. She is a senior and captain of the team as well. It has been an up and down season for the high school team; losing to some that they shouldn't and beating some great teams pretty bad. But thankfully they played great in thr tournament and went undefeated. When they were anouncing the all tournament team, since our school won it, they were the last to be mentioned. As I listened to them call the names, I was worried that she might not have made the team. This would have been a shock because she beat out a lot of seniors the year before and is playing even better now.
But the announcer said, "And Finally the last member of the all tournament team, AND MVP... Morgan Hall."
It was so great to see the smile that exploded across her face as the gym filled for a moment with cheers for her. And Yes, you better believe it, I believe that I was the loudest.
I am so happy for her and porud of her. If you knew her you would understand. She is one of the kindest people that you ever want to meet. She never assumes anything and works very, very hard to get to where she is now.
Sadly this is her senior year, next step college and two really bummed out parents.
